I was originally going to be getting an asus maximus VII motherboard, but I could most likley get a better deal on one. Motherboard suggestions for this build?

Build looks good, one thing I'd change is to get a R9 390 over the GTX 970.

 

For this build, I'd go MSI Gaming 7 (Z97)

 

EDIT: also get a CPU cooler, H100i GTX if you can, Hyper 212 EVO if not

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Any XFX or Seasonic PSU
