Does a 8m HDMI cable cause any delay to the output display?

Hi,

I've been thinking to hock up a hdmi cable from my study to my living about 8 meters away that outputs my computers display for Movies and Games like a home theatre PC.

But will there be any major delays or other complications?

Cheers.

No, cable length doesn't affect latency.

8 meters divided by the speed of light is 26 nanoseconds if that's of any significance to you. it's about a 15 millionth of a frame

Time to upgrade 2 diamond cable for $999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

Ryzen 5 1600 - GTX 980 Ti - Broke.
