CPU Choice

Hi, I always been a Intel/nVIDIA fanboy but I have to recognize AMD has a lot of potential to offer at cheap prices, so I have this dilema, I'm building a rig for my gf, she likes Dota 2 and works graphic design, Photoshop/Illustrator Stuff, I have this two builds, which one you recommender more and why?:

for AMD:

Gigabyte AM3+ AMD DDR3 1333 760G HDMI Micro ATX Motherboard GA-78LMT / $59
AMD FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition / $100
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Single DDR3 1600 / $39
EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2 GB SC+ / $170
WD Blue 1 TB HDD / $53
EVGA SuperNOVA 650w G2 80 Plus Gold Rate Fully Modular ATX / $80

Total: $501

And for the Intel build:

Same RAM, PSU, HDD, GPU but with:
Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel H81 mATX Motherboard GA-H81M-HD3 / $68
Intel Core i5-4460 LGA 1150 CPU / $182

Total: $592

at this moment we have $454 we also have to save something for the shipping from USA to Venezuela (like 100-150 dollars)

what do you guys think or suggest?

Thanks

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

you don't need 650w for a 950. You don't even need 500w.

I voted AMD but when i ran the numbers it turns out even in multi-threaded applications the 4460 is only ever so slightly edged out by the FX-6300, but destroys the FX-6300 in everything else.

I'd say go with the 4460.

The AMD 6300 architecture is so old at this point. The i5 should beat it pretty much across the board.

which one you suggest?

You could get a 2GB 380 for the same price and less if you count rebate https://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9380p2255

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-axr93802gbd5dhe this one is cheaper than the first (142 after rebate 162 without) wait your not in the states so... you'll have to check local pricing

Stay with the CPU, no matter what people say it's going to do it's job and do good at it! Only reason you would want to consider changing it is if you are into video editing then go with an i7 instead. But for photoshop is an awesome CPU (used it myself for the same purposes).

Might add this later...

AMD to match how hot your gf is ;)

Just joking, go Intel.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
