Fractal Arc Mini R2 - my desk is kinda small

i5 6600k

Gigabyte GA-Z170MX Gaming 5

GTX 970 G1 Gaming

Gskill Trident Z 3200  2x4gb

Samsung 850 Evo 250GB

XFX Pro Series 650w or 750w xxx edition

Cooler Master Hyper 212X

Total is about $1,330 from where I live, with two noctua fans included.

Build is primarily for 1080p 60 fps+ gaming and will be overclocking it.  Also thinking of going for the 390x G1 Gaming since it's only about $25 more that the 970 G1 Gaming. But I've watched on some gaming benchmarks that the AMD cards are having some performance issues with some recent games.  Need help or recommendations for parts that I could go cheaper for non noticeable performance hit, or a little more expensive that'll give a decent gain in performance.

There are no performance benchmarks recent enough to factor in AMD's new drivers except possible the one on wccftech where with the updates the fury x beat a ref. 980ti. You'll probably be better off with a 390.

No one uses reference cards so who cares, 980ti > furyx
