Superflower leadex silver 550w or Superflower leadex Platinum 550w?

thezodiacmachine

The price difference is only about $10.

Also i only need around 380w of power should i get a 550w psu? Does a higher watt psu cause a waste of electricity if my system does not use up the 550w?

My rig is as followed.

CPU+MOBO: i5-2400+H61H2-AD

Memory: 4x2 8gb ddr3 ram(from acer x3990)

Storage: 1TB 5400 rpm (from acer x3990)

Gpu: Zotac Gtx960

Case: Fractal arc midi r2

Thanks!

No, the PSU does not draw any more power than it needs. Get the 550W, you will be able to upgrade to a more powerful GPU in the future.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION

Nope, unless you have a weird motherboard from a prebuilt PC like an HP or Lenovo.

OK, that should be OK, although it might require ribbon cables, you never know.
