1440p on 980Ti

I've recently bought an EVGA 980ti classified and im planning to buy a 2560x1440 monitor but im afraid that my gpu wont be able to run new games on decent fps. Can someone tell me if its worth upgrading to 2560x1440 or just stick with the full hd monitors ?

You are looking at around 45-60fps on max settings.

Nah, it still cant do 1440p perfectly sadly.

 

Having 80-90 fps on a 60hz screen is much better so that you wont notice the dips in fps, which is prolly also what you are paying for.

You underestimate the 980Ti and probably overspent on the graphics card...

An overpowered GPU is a great investment cos it guarantees you can play at max and at high FPS for years to come.

Getting  a 980ti for 1080p should be a crime.

If you have a 980 Ti you need at least a 1440p monitor. Using it for only a single 1080p @ 60Hz means you should have saved money and just bought a 970.
