'mixed drink' spilled on computer.

So last night was pretty crazy until someone decided to place there mixed alcohol drink on top of my mates computer. My mate tried turning it on after some cleaning nothing attached to the motherboard works (eg cha-fans) and cpu. His drives connected directly to the PSU are fine and running but nothing from the motherboard is working.

The 'mixed fruit alcohol drink' landed directly on top of his GPU and slid down the motherboard.

Things he has tried:

Removing ram and trying boot

Removing GPU and trying to boot.

Replacing the CMOS battery (Not sure if that would work anyways)

So what's the best way of going about fixing this problem?

Cheers,

-Keelan

I had a can of coke spilled onto my GPU a while back and i cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and left it to completely dry, if he tried running the computer when the GPU is still wet in any way he has probably fucked it up a lot more.

It's already busted i bet so when he buys another one, run this one through the dishwasher without soap and let it dry for a cpl weeks, prob still won't work, but never know. I am guessing it was running in which case it's toast, or sleep /hibernating/ off. The last 3 usually have some standby current going to various things like USB and dimm slots depending on his board. It may still have shorted due to that standby current.
