What Power Supply should I get?

Hey guys, first time posting on the forums with a question.

 

I am building a PC and I need help on picking a power supply. 

My budget is $80-$90, and I'm looking for 650-750W fully modular PSU.

 

I'm unsure of what to get due to people saying their PSUs are blowing up like with Corsair and their RM750. 

 

My PC Build is the following:

 
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($309.99 @ SuperBiiz) 
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($129.99 @ Amazon) 
Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($122.39 @ B&H) 
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($77.88 @ OutletPC) 
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card  ($649.99 @ Amazon)

That PSU is fine, but 650W is enough.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

EVGA and Corsair are good brands as well as some mentioned above.

EVGA and Corsair are good brands as well as some mentioned above.

Only their higher range PSU are really good but Corsair fails in the value aspect. You Can get similar quality for a lot less. EVGA B2 and higher are great some of the lower ones not so much

Also, the price difference between the 650 and 750 isn't much. If you can afford the 750, you may as well get it. Then you'll at least know you have the power you need in the future with the exception of doing something ridiculous... like quad 980s.

 

Up to you though.

Also is the XFX XTR 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular power supply good? It's $92.

Either both are outstanding PSUs. Get which ever look better to you or suits your needs

Yes and then the EVGA 750W G2 would be the best value. some of the features are 10 year warranty, fanless mode, Japanese solid caps, sleeved cables, best ripple suppression out of any PSU, outstanding voltage control and OEM is Super Flower. All of these are huge pluses and with the price it is now it would be rated higher then a 9.8

750 is enough but If you plan on overclocking the CPU and SLI GPUS at all you'd want to consider a 850w PSU. ALso have a look at an EVGA GPU with the ACX cooler or you will have issues with thermal throttling
