yes.

The AMD8350 is an excellent choice. Or wait for the new Zen CPUs.

AMD cpus are essentially a dead end to upgrades and getting the 8350 is essentially a minuscule upgrade to what you can achieve with intel it wouldnt really be worth it

with the 8350 you get pretty much identical core performance, with the only difference being two more cores, which will not really make any difference unless you render or 3d model or something

and even then its only a marginal improvement

you would be better off to save up until you can switch to an i5 or i7

but from a 6300? it's basically 2 more (unnecessary) cores, that's it. Zen is going to need a new motherboard anyway.

really not worth it, especialy if you're a gamer.

For a budget workstation machine? yeah maybe...but i recommend the cheapest FX-8320 or FX-8320E instead...if you game, all of these have the same performance (sub-par)

If you want to overclock go with the 8350. I have the 8320 and I've got it overclocked to 4.5Ghz and I'm going for 5Ghz tonight

The difference between a 6300 and 8350 is hardly noticed unless your doing a lot of heavily threaded workloads. Even then it's more of a side grade than an upgrade.

I'd overclock the 6300 for now and wait til Zen comes out.
