Will Refreshing Windows 10 Delete Fallout 4 Save Files?

Guest

If I refresh my PC, it has a couple issues, a fresh install can't hurt, will it delete my Fallout 4 game save files? It says it will delete it as a program. Thanks.

You could just copy the save files off your computer. Like on a thumb drive or something.

A "refresh" will not delete personal files, but it will delete any "apps" you have installed. Windows classifies any installed program as an app now. Since the save game file should be located in you "My Games" folder it shouldn't be deleted, and your save file should automatically be saved to the cloud as well; but if you're worried about it enough then I would make a manual backup just to be safe.

The safe folder is in your documents folder. Just copy/paste it to a safe place.

1. Steam savepoints are saved to the cloud.

2. Refreshing still keeps files (depending on selected option)

to be safe, copy them somewhere else just in case.

I like Computer Stuffs. Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it in again? Automation Expert (Bots, scripts, etc)! Add me on Xbox Live: JollyPlanet449 And on Steam!: Baxtmann Wanshow.tips is a cool place too
