Should I buy an i5-4690k for video editting?

Someone's selling me an i5-4690k for about $100 and I want to do video editing and some animation on the new pc im building, should i get it or what else would you suggest? Is it an awesome deal?

Awesome deal for a 4690k? Yes. Optimal for video editing? Not really, that'd be a 1231v3. Will you find a 1231 for around that price? Probably not.

I'd recommend a G3258 or an Athlon x64.

I would definitely have go for that deal. I have an i5 4690k and i do a lot of video editing and it works just fine. For the price, you wont beat it.
