Help I'm new to PC

dustinbailley

Hi I am brand new to building PCs and I need help understanding everything and what it does. I'm trying to build a decent gaming PC, and I know what components I'm supposed to have but I have no idea what makes them good or bad or what exactly they do. I'm trying to spend around $800 on it and have a little flexibility in the price. I want to be able to run and stream games on 1080p with 60 fps for games like CS:GO but games like fallout 4 won't bother me at lower quality but still decent. Sorry I'm kinda noobish but like I said I'm new. Thank you for the help!

Allow me to reccomend: i5-4460- or 4690 (non-overclockable; he won't be doing any as a newbie), GTX 950 or 960. Should be fine for 1080p, and they can be upgraded in the future.

If I was you and you can stretch to this this would be a great system, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jvJsD3.

You can overclock to get more performance out of your CPU and GPU. Also with 16GB of RAM you'll be good for streaming and editing, although if you need to save some money 8GB would be fine. The case and power supply are good but it's personal preference on the case.
