If I had the spare resources I would get my parents a new monitor, they are using a old 17" one they got with an emachine. The one I would get under 300$ would be this BenQ  because it would be more than enough for them and my first name is Ben ;) (amazon.com link).

I would really like to get my dad a pair of the "Sennheiser Momemntum 2.0 headphones" for Christmas. My dad also used to be extremely tech savvy, working as a computer techie at a company in downtown Chicago before he got his chemical engineering degree. Being a computer techie and engineer and being in his 20's meant that my dad was quite willing to spend a small portion of his income on a respectable stereo system and a couple of headphones (one Sennheiser and one Audio-Technica if I'm correct). These served him well for many years, as he was meticulous about keeping them clean and stored away properly. Unfortunately, some 30 years later, none of these are still usable, and my dad simply doesn't listen to his music anymore (he was a huge fan of heavy metal and rock bands: especially Rush). I would really like to give him the gift of being able to get back into an old hobby that he enjoyed so much, and I think that a set of nice headphones would be just the motivator he needs. Thanks for reading until the end!

I would get the LG Nexus 5

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GEO5QB4/ref=twister_B011YMNUNQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

for my Mom who reeaally needs to get out of the pre smartphone era. I think it's a good one because I, as an Android geek, can give her all the support she needs. Plus it's a Nexus, so I can mess with it to give her the best possible experience (beyond the stupid simple iPhone). It is a good phone that will last for quite a while longer.

Hi guys, thank you for your generosity :) I would like to give my parents (and whole our family) a new router , because the old one makes trouble for them while talking to relatives via Skype (it cuts the words and decreases the voice quality so the conversation becomes non-understandable) or trying to browse the internet while being 10 meters further than router (it takes very very long time to load up a page :( ) Heres the LINK- http://www.amazon.ca/RT-AC87U-WLS-RTR-100-1000/dp/B00MPI5N7U/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1450025579&sr=8-9&keywords=asus+router. Thanks again, and good luck, Merry oncoming Christmas and a Happy New Year  everyone!!! :)

Well, my girlfriend/my future wife and I will move to our new home. So, I have gave her already my old HP 8530w workstation laptop, which I've replaced with a desktop machine due to the heat issues and monitor brightness is broken.

So, I've already bought her MODECOM MC-CF 10, 15 inch laptop cooler and LG 25UM57 21:9 monitor, thanks to LTT!!

Now I plan to equip her with peripherals: Logitech G502 mouse, Sony MDRRF985RK Wireless RF Headphones and a simple normal layout mechanical keyboard with brown switches, like Coolermaster Quick Fire XT or something like that.

If I win the contest or not, I plan to buy her what I've written. She doesn't know what my plans are.

So why I'm doing this, because she saves money on other things and thinks these products are overpriced but I want her to have a decent working area so she can educate and improve her skills at home for her job. She is an accountant.

Good luck everyone, Happy holidays!

I am choosing my parents, mainly my dad to receive a new TV (http://amzn.com/B00U9U8RZQ). He is one of those people who refuse to buy new things when the current item already works. Currently my parents use an old 4:3 aspect ratio TV with only low quality plugin options such as RGB. I would love to get them a new TV that can display the HD quality cable that they pay for, but are unable to see on their current TV. They are currently working hard to pay my college fees and I would like to show some appreciation by upgrading their TV and hopefully getting a great job later on.

My father works at the technical university of denmark (DTU), and he commutes on bike every morning. He really enjoys jazz and rock, especially when we are driving together, but he has no means of music when he is riding the bicycle. I would like to gift him the x2 headphones from Jaybird, as they seem easy to understand and use for a non-techy.

*** It is actually really funny that the video features something I was looking for to get my father. He just finished building his dream garage with an office and vehicle lift. He just installed a whole sound system and everything and the receiver he had for years in the old garage went out and he wanted something he could connect to wifi or bluetooth to his phone to control the music while working. I was considering this Sonos Amp but being a fresh college grad it is a bit out of my price range!

*** Something I know would make my fathers life a bit easier would be a wireless headset for him to watch TV. My father works long hours and often has trouble sleeping because by the time he gets home mom is ready to sleep but he needs time to wind down. He is fairly tech savvy but never spends money on himself, he always is the McGyver of the family, rigging up over complicated methods to something that can be easily replaced by one or two technological devices. Example being he currently is using an old pair of Apple headphones I had laying around and a 10 ft, 3.5 mm extension hooked into the TV to listen to it from bed. Knowing the quality and and comfort I would probably recommend him to get some Sennheiser RS 165 or RS 175 headphones since they are closed back and the input wouldn't have to change. They are still really simple, turn on and listen. Which I am hoping will keep him from calling me and whispering into the phone at midnight trying to figure out why they are not working.

*** Thinking of my mother I would definitively get her two different gifts this season. One being a FitBit or similar fitness tracking device, my mother is always going on long walks around our ranch to try to stay in shape and I know she would love to see what her heart rate is and how many steps she has taken, I really think that she would love this device. And the nice thing too is that a smart phone is not required to run this device and she can use her laptop to see the data since she refuses to get rid of her blackberry phone she has had for 6 years! I would also get her a GPS tracking device for her purse/wallet. She ALWAYS leaves here purse somewhere and forgets where she left it and I think this device will help her nearly everyday to quickly find here purse and not leave me and my father digging around the house to find it.

*** I want to say this seems like an amazing giveaway and is pretty sweet to see this coming directly from you Linus an not necessarily a sponsor, shows that the giving spirit is strong with all of y'all lovely people over there at LMG!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

My girlfriend is in need of a camera! She does a lot of traveling and takes all her pictures with her iphone while she is mountain climbing or skiing. I would like to get her a Go Pro camera so she can get some great memorable shots.

I would get my parents (specifically my mom, but I'm sure my parents will share it) one set of Audio Technica ATH-AD900X Open-Back Audiophile Headphones. Usually they cost 299 USD, but right now they cost 149 USD. If I was going to spend 300 dollars myself, I'll probably buy two sets, one for each of my parents. In fact, the AD1000x is on sale for 303 USD. Unfortunately this giveaway's limit is 300 dollars and only one gift, so I can only ask for one set of AD900x. ;_;

I really want to give them a good set of headphones because they are still using very cheap stock earphones that come with their mobile phones. They don't know much about audio equipment, so they mainly buy into brand names like Apple or Samsung, believing that they will deliver the best sound. Once, for Christmas, they bought me a pair of Bose headphones that costed 200 bucks, but to be honest, they are only a bit better than my 16 dollar IEMs (1More's "Voice of China" edition of the Xiaomi Piston 3, for those who are wondering). I wasn't quite happy with their purchase, but I really want to return something to them so they can enjoy high quality music.

So my best friend and I are huge techies, and love talking about new computer stuff, it's one of our biggest shared interests.

His little brother loves computer games, but he isn't huge on tech and is running some very old hardware, including a really bad graphics card that just isn't cutting it for his games. Me and my friend would love to surprise him with a new graphics card for his computer so that he can continue gaming.

For the $300 budget, I'd like to get him an r9 290:

http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-VAPOR-X-PCI-Express-Graphics-11227-09-40G/dp/B016EYCY4A

If I win this competition, thanks so much for making this kid's day.
