I want the WD Cloud Storage because my parents don't have a reliable cloud, and personally don't want to pay an online service because of the chances of it possibly getting hacked or them losing all of their photos due to a security breach.  I also want to get the router for my dad because he works from home and does lots of work on the internet.  Our ISP has shitty internet and he doesn't want to pay to upgrade so this will benefit him for his work.  I am cool with either gift as they are both under $300.  Happy Holidays!

Hey I would like any sort of laptop or tablet computer hybrid that would be able to run my mums work software as she needs a new one and she works really hard but she can't work from home as all the computers are broken and she needs a new one. It would really mean a lot to her.

Thanks you guys are the best for doing these giveaways.

A chromebook for my dad

he is still using a netbook as his main pc and a chromebook would suit his needs perfectly. He is a pilot so solid state storage is a must as well as it gets carried around alot and i got sick of replacing hard drives in his netbook.

Hi, I would like to give my parents a new dvd/surround system since the one they have just barely works. The dvd player doesn't have HDMI (it uses SCART only...), and the sound is crap.

And since my parents like to watch music programs on the TV and litsen to music in general, they deserve a better audio experience.

I would love to gift my cousin a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD. His computer takes forever to boot up and I can't stand waiting 27 years just to start it up and just check a few things, only to shut it back off and have him suffer through the entire boot up again.

Thanks LTT for coming up with this unique giveaway, and good luck to all participants entering!

Laptop: ASUS G751JL-BBI7T29 GPU: GeForce GTX 965M 2GB CPU: Intel i7-4720HQ @ 2.6 GHz RAM: 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 (although I plan on upgrading this to 16 or potentially even 24 GB soon) Storage: 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD, 500GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD Mouse: Logitech G300s Headset: Turtle Beach EarForce P11

I Spent a couple hours last Night going over the option of getting my Dad an Nvidia Shield TV to help him cut the cable. Which he is admittedly tired of.
I realize that this goes above the $300 price limit sightly. But for the ease of connecting and how user friendly i anticipate it will be for my very NOT tech savy Father, it seems like a great option. Above all that it looks modern and professional, something you'd like to display by the TV instead of shoving in a component cupboard.

With Kodi and Netflix, he will have a host of streaming options, and it is unlikely he will ever complain to me again that Netflix just isn't cutting it these days :)

I wanted to build a PC for my Grandfather for a while now, he used to be a Techie but isnt anymore. I plan to build  a PC for his office desk with him.

I have made an Amazon Wishlist with my planned components(excluding Case/PSU)

http://www.amazon.de/registry/wishlist/39ULTM60LXAOV

I hope I win because giving is sometimes even better than getting :D

(EDIT: It might come really close to 300$ if something gets more expensive so just remove the RAM if it gets to expensive)

So my dad's computer... Its so bad he's still rockin' a Q6600 8gb 600Mhz DDR2 RAM, and the newest thing he has (Which I'm quite surprised he has) is a Nvidia GTX 560. Unfortunately, theirs recently become a bunch of clutter on his old 160 maxter hard drive (No surprise their) worst thing is, is as they get more full the computer starts getting slower and slower. His computer can't run for a day straight without bluescreening once, its not a driver issue, its the fact that his computer sucks... Anyways I think an SSD could speed up the boot time of his PC which right now takes about a minute and a half. Thats why I would like to gift my dad a Samsung 850 EVO 500gb SSD

My grandma used to use her old laptop that nativley ran windows vista for everything. Now she can't even play her facebook games cause the laptop is too slow.

Her fix? download malware that promises to make her computer faster. Please giver an ssd so that she is no longer tempted to download such crap, or so i don't spend an hour removing all of it.

I would buy for my mother a better monitor to replace her old ugly CRT one that she still has in her bedroom. I would choose the IPS AOC Q2963PM 29-inch panel as it at the 300$ price margin and it is a good IPS panel (my mother won't need the extra response time of the TN panels) with more than Full HD resolution.
