I´d get my girlfriend a Zenwatch 2.

She´s not very techy but a watch would be a good intro into our world. It would also be good for her due to her lack of attention to her phone. This would make the gift a gift to everyone trying to contact her. The Zenwatch also just looks nice and won't seem like she's trying to become a cyborg and shock all of her family and relatives.

I'd get both my parents (primarily my mom) this Quantum Byte Fanless Windows Mini Desktop PC. She uses a dated factory-built desktop that is literally slower than a half broken 1995 system. My parents, especially my dad, hates random space being taken up by it sometimes. The cables are a problem for them and while my mom can turn it on and essentially use the basic programs, she's not very savvy with it and my dad barely knows how to use a word processor (southern-born blue collar working person). I think "you accidentally used all 12GB of mobile data" sums up the lack of tech awareness.

In any case, this is perfect for them, since it's faster, it's small and doesn't take up space. It will lower the frustration for them since when their current one doesn't load fast enough, it makes my mom irritable and it will do what they need, plus more. And because I'm getting tired of getting my mom the same old boring cheap gifts for Christmas. As a bonus, we had a flipping tree crash through our garage, so something a little better will brighten my parents' moods up this holiday.

Good luck to everyone else. Pretty sure anyone we're thinking about for gifts is going to be more than surprised.

My mother could do with a replacement for her old desk bound brick of a laptop which has become problematic after the windows 10 upgrade which cause the old wifi adapter to require running the fix it wizard each time the computer wakes to reset the adapter to connect.  Intel isn't releasing a new driver for windows 10 for a legacy abg adapter.

Anyways, a ChromeBook would be my selection, large(relatively) 13.3" ips display for old eyes, and let google handle the technical support.  She doesn't use anything outside the google ecosystem so it would be perfect.

My grandpa uses these really crappy headphones listening to music. I'd rather have him listening with good quality headphones since his hearing is getting worse :(

This is a bit uninspired, but I would recommend an iPhone for non-techies. Everything you need is there and just works. When my mom needs a calendar, a map, email access, whatever it's there. And with iPhone's proliferation any problem that does arise is easily addressed with a Google search. Older models are cheap or even free with contract in the US and work great for non-power users.

thanks heaps for the giveaway my mum keeps getting confused with the millions of remotes and buttons we have with all of our consoles and tv's and needs something that could contrary to her opinion de-clutter the remote table so i would love to give her a nvidia shield tv because that way we can solve a few problems

-neaten up the lounge

-provide a bright easy way to watch her favourite shows

-provide a console for all of the kids and me to play on together this Christmas

My Mom.

She is single and lives by herself plus not the most wealthy. She always tries to save money anyway she can. One of her ways of saving money is not turning on her heat or AC. It's always an ice box or extremely hot. So I would like to get a Nest Thermostat instead of her basic on or off thermostat. Showing her way to have the heat on more efficiently instead of freezing just to save money. And living in Wisconsin would help her out tremendously.

Thank you! You would truly make her christmas.

This is for my family basically (if I really need to be specific, my dad), our family is not that into tech, the only ones that do is me and my brother, and this gift is to group the family together, all right? So I present/gift I want to give to my whole family is an Xbox 360 (Non Kinect version,  http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-500GB-Console-Horizon-Bundle/dp/B017KIHMQE/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1449740625&sr=1-3&keywords=xbox+360+horizon+2) with Forza Horizon 2. Me, my brother and my dad like cars, and my mom and sister barely know what is a console.....so this is a chance to let them know technology and hopefully they will get into it. I would prefer the Kinect version, so we could play some sports during the weekends with the family, but then it's over $300.....so maybe I will salvage a Kinect from a used game store or something.

Thanks LTT and the crew for this giveaway :D

I would love to get my mother the new Apple Tv for her room. I have one at my house and it's the absolute easiest thing to use and it just works like it should. Right now she has the first gen. Chromecast for her tv and she is always having issues, it won't play the video sometimes, it won't connect to her tv out of no where, it always lags, x,y,z. She's pretty deep in the Apple ecosystem so an Apple TV wouldn't take much adapting for her. They don't have them on Amazon so if that is an absolute must then I think she would be fine with this smart tv by vizio http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-D39H-D0-720p-Smart-Model/dp/B017WM085K/ref=sr_1_53?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1449738529&sr=1-53&keywords=smart+tv&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A6928153011%2Cp_36%3A8589204011 A little smaller than her 45 Inch TV now but i know she'd prefer it. Thanks and merry christmas.

My grandfather has been using a hand me down iPhone 4 for about a year now. Considering the small size of the iPhone and my grandfathers diminishing sight I think a larger tablet would be great for him to use. Also I will work with the chromecast I got him for his birthday, just another reason to get rip of his iPhone 4.

Would get my parents a Nexus Player. It's a super easy way for them to access Netflix and YouTube. Having a remote is a huge plus for my mum as sometimes using her phone is a bit dickie at times...
