Can't connect to internet despite installing drivers

Butterfish
Go to solution Solved by Butterfish,

I solved it. Apparently i downloaded the wrong driver lol. Thanks for the help anyways @valdyrgramr :)

Guys i need your help. Due to some issues with windows activation, i went back to win7 from win10 using the tool that microsoft provided. Now being back to win7, my internet suddenly doesn't work. I've tried to do a fresh install with a legit copy of win7, but despite installing the LAN driver i can't get internet access.

The icon doesn't change from this - even though i plug the ethernet cable in and out.

What could the problem be?

Is it onboard or a card?  It could be damaged if either, honestly.

Onboard. Motherboard model is Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1
