hello so I am looking to upgrade my desktop gpu since its the only thing really holding me down and I want to make sure that it is compatible with my current build. right now my computer is:

  • CPU
    Intel Core i7-3820
  • Motherboard
    Sabertooth x79
  • RAM
    Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3
  • GPU
    Asus Nvidia Geforce GT 610
  • PSU

I am looking to upgrade to a gigabyte radeon r9 390I just want to make sure that it is compatible with my current build before I buy it and it turns out to not work.
Thanks in advance

Yeahhhhhh to answer your question why I got a 610 is because my dad was helping me and he didn't want to spend a lot of money on a graphics card. He said he would buy my first custom desktop so I could learn to build a computer. I tried to reason with him that it should be the thing you put the most money into but he wouldn't listen. It has now been a couple years and I am getting sick of not being able to play games on my computer to its max, so I am getting a new graphics card.
