5820k > 6700k in most cases exept single core performance :o

 

Single core is what it's about unless you're doing a bunch of video editing.

my system its close to perfection, now i am saving for a intel 750 series SSD to add up to my shitty 1tb hard drives.

and maybe another 8gb stick to add up to 16gb.

For 1080p gaming all you need is a 270x.  I got mine for a wee bit more than $100 a over a year ago.

Did your guy who did the pricing just copy / paste $46 into everything in the first PC or is there some sort of joke about PC parts all being $46 in the US?

 

The motherboard is close at $47.99, the the case is almost close at $62.16 and the graphics card isn't even close at $169.99.

 

 

Funny thing is, the total actually went off the real prices, you just didn't say or show them.

As displayed: 70+46+37+46+46+70=$315

As actual: 70+48+37+62+170+70=$457 (Which is real close to the $453 you put as the hardware price).

Not sure why the GTX 960 suggestion when you get a r9 380 for the same price, and better performance...

 

Also, for the 1k build, 390, and 290x are also viable choices.

 

For 2k build, if this is "just for gaming", 6700k would have been the better choice, better single threaded performance than the 5820k, also 32gb of ram is overkill for gaming, could just be left with 16gb, and save the money for a m.2 storage drive.

With that build, you get the 950, a mirrored 4TB raid1 with 2 WD Red drives (versus Linus' single Sea"gate" 4TB drive), faster ram, a better price:performance gpu (and with more vram #vramGate #skyrimMods), more durable mobo, and a better cpu with good overclocking potential with the h110i gtx.
