What model is your laptop? It's like saying "some ice cream tastes bad!". We don't know what we're talking about here.

@ShadowCaptain's answer is spot on.

I'm asking for the model number of the laptop because I'm trying to figure out whether this laptop should be struggling or if there's something that could have gone wrong.

Sig under construction.

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

or the hdd

Why should it be the HDD if it's streaming from YouTube?

Unless it's caching enough of the video in RAM that it's being put into the pagefile for reasons that shouldn't be...

4gb of ram, thats highly possible. when my hdd is peaking usage everything slows down, even with 8gb of ram

Well that seems like a definite solution (or at least workaround).

Chrome OS is crap in my opinion. You can't do anything but surf the web.

Do YOU NEED windows?

Desktop + Chromebook = <3

But you can do WAY more then just surf the web.
