Sorry for no updates in the last couple of days, its been a busy week

and the modding has just been too much fun that I've forgotten to take pictures and put some udpates

anyway

Bought a phobya fan grill from a friend and painted it white

Fangrill2_zps3a1915d7.jpg

I've stripped off the acrylic cover

Stripoff_zps27516097.jpg

Tested the LED, once I've put everything in place I'll start soldering the LED with cables and place it at certain spots

Made some holes for the cables and tubing to go through

Measuring_zps3d5a2f28.jpg

Tested the fan power adapter which my friend made for me , it works perfectly with my fan controller

fansplitter_zps976a8f4d.jpg

Very satisfied with it!

I've forgotten to document the making of the mesh hole for the front radiator to blow into but here is the current state of the build

Currentstate_zps079901cc.jpg

Will do some more work this afternoon and have to wait for a new ddc pump, since one my mine has died. the cables just shattered in pieces which I dont know why

Another update coming soon

Absolute noob question here, is that just painted cardboard you used for the inside? Looks so good, I wanted to do something like this as well!

Keep going!

Been around since the beginning of LTT & the forums, but mostly just lurk!

A few minor updates

box_zpsd1e90ab0.jpg

Whats inside??

3770k_zpsf84b842a.jpg

3770k-2_zpsec33d9ca.jpg

Aw yeahhh..... found it on a good deal, used for like a week and a half and also a good batch according to the cpu-z the seller sent me

other than that I've made a few progress on the actual build

I've measured the LED for each section, its being cut out and soldered by Invain (OCN) (I'm so bad at crimping, you dont wanna know)

the pump is also being repaired by him so thumbs up for this guy :)

I was also planning to make my own fan filter using pantyhose since the 480 fan filter I ordered didnt match the length on the pedestal

so i went to the shop today, actually looked for some pantyhose

the lady found it for me but amazingly there was no black color one

all they have are purple, bright blue, pinks, leopard or snakes or crocs pattern which I dont think I would use for the build

long story short I ended up in the lingerie section, froze out as I dont know what to say when the lady on that section asked me what I was looking for and decided to went home

on the way home I remember that Jassilamba (OCN) showed me some kind of foam for the filter

I stopped by Ace and found some aquarium water filter that is a kind of foam, its cheap so I bought it

went home and this is what I did

filter1_zps1d36fbc5.jpg

Peeled it thin

filter2_zpse15cbd70.jpg

filter3_zps022791cb.jpg

applied it on the fan grill, looking good right??

ANDD........

It didnt work, it was too thin and light that the fan sucked it in

too thick and air wont get through

so I decided to customise the fan filter I bought, a bit of cutting here and there, gluing here and there and voila

filter4_zps498d01a3.jpg

filter5_zps00537013.jpg

filter6_zpse4f778d6.jpg

Thats all folks :D

A pretty good update!

I've received the soldered LED and the fixed pump from InVain, very good job! he got it right, well done sir!

I've tested the pump straight away

Pumptesting_zpsf57dfbfd.jpg

And everything went well , hopefully it stays this way

The fan grill and fan filter which I customised turn out great!

Grillon_zps5285ec6c.jpg

I've also tested the LED + adapter and stick it to the rig

Loop is pretty much done, probably if I've time tomorrow I'll cleanse and leak test the loop first for 24 hours

Minor updates only,

the cables are done, and ready to go, not perfect but it will do for me

will take some pictures when its ready

other than that decided that the system is ready for leak testing so I mix some of the primochill sysprep thing with some distilled water

Sysprep_zps91540e57.jpg

leaktest_zpsf48765f9.jpg

Its been running for almost 6 hours and its good to go :) will drain it first thing in the morning

Pretty shock that the bleeding isnt that hard, actually even easier than my previous build

took me 2-3 days to get rid all of the bubble noise in my previous build with 1x360 rad and 1x240 rad

currently most of the bubbles are gone! noise also disappearing fast

very happy!
