Best cheap thermal paste

Title says it all.

I'll use it for CM 212 Hyper EVO (Not sure if that includes thermal paste or not) and i7-4790k

Don't buy a 212 with a 4790k, it's just not good enough for overclocks (there was a thread yesterday), get a Cryorig H7 or something.

maybe he wants to use it as a temp cpu cooler

I guess, but he's spending the money on an aftermarket cooler, may as well spend it well (iirc the H7 is like $10 more.) I'm not saying the 212 is bad, it's better though for 4690ks and such.

Can confirm it comes with thermal paste that is good enough. Don't worry about it.

It comes with good enough thermal paste. You only really need to buy another if you want to compare cooler performance or get the last degree out of that cooler.

I use antec formula 7, partly because its really good, partly because my best buy sells it.

If I'm not gonna overclock, is it good enough then?

A hyper 212 will keep it very cool at stock with the included paste.

I use arctic cooling mx-4 paste mainly for its non-conductive and non-capacitive properties.

Thermal paste is included. If you're not overclocking then the 212 is fine.

I have two 212's on their way, so I can't speak for them yet. However, really when it comes to compound it's all pretty cheap. Grab some $10 tube and you'll be fine. Don't go carbon-based, though. I tried it before and it was just piss poor performance-wise.

I bought that silver-based compound someone linked above. I didn't know the 212's came with compound (shows how much attention I put into my purchases, damn), but I'll probably end up wiping it off since factory compound really sucks a lot of the time.

I've used the 212 in two builds, for i5s and amd they are decent. Not so much for ocing an i7. The included thermal paste is decent too, not great but worth using.
