I'm getting a new system this year, it's my first build and I have my parts picked out and I'm getting ready to order them, I'm just making sure everything is compatible with each other and that I won't have any problems, now here's the thing, I'm getting a 770 classified edition which has two 8 pin connectors, and my psu has one pci-e 8 pin and two 6 pin, now my question is could I get away with using one 8 pin and one 6 pin? is there any solution I can get without having to get another psu?

You can get an extension 2x 6pin ----> 8pin. It is very cheap and you can get it in every computer store.
