Is the only difference in these two fans is one is slower at the same voltage? I want something quieter than the stock fans on my water 2 performer. I have an Asus Mobo so I can change the fan speed. So would it be better to get the standard and lower the voltage, or get the quiet and raise the voltage if I need it?

What I did was got the high performance and then lowered the rpm until it got quiet!

The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.

The fans are both exactly the same. Except the High Performance edition moves more air and spins at a higher RPM(which makes it louder). You can of course control it and effectively turn it into a Quiet edition fan if required.

Ok, so if I can control it the High performance fans are better?

Correct. Or if the increased noise is tolerated by you, if you don't control it.

Go performance for SP and quiet for AF.

Ok, so if I use Fanxpert and lower a performance I can get it as quiet as a quiet edition and still be able to make it faster? But could I use Fanxpert to make the quiet edition very quiet? I do not want to have to get a fan controller so is it possible that the quiet edition would be good for me?

I'd advise against Corsair fans TBH. I run my SP120 at 1000 RPMs, and its still the loudest part of my rig. They're louder than my Cougar Vortex (both at 1000 RPM).

THey also don't move that much air at low RPMs.

I can back this up. There quite loud for "Quiet" fans. If you want quiet, go for Noctua, or Scythe.
