They need to do something... the new BB phones are even more useless than WP, and bring BBM to Android (in beta testing currently, iOS to follow), will be the nail in the coffin.

Well, if they get bought out it won't be the end of the world. Motorola got bought-out by Google and Moto is going to be releasing a new phone, the Moto X, soon.

I don't know, what decision can they make on their own that will keep them alive? 

 

I think an acquisition is an order because they are having trouble releasing what people want, yet Google and Apple, to some extent, do.
