The CUII will probably downclock to match the Diamond one--just so you know.

If you're paying more for a CUII, don't.

I figured it would down clock the CUII. I've owned the Diamond card for awhile and am buying the CUII at half the cost from a friend. That's the reason for this funky setup. I just wanted to make sure it would work. I've been able to overclock the Diamond to 1000mhz stable. Would it be a good idea to overclock the Diamond in the crossfire?

Try to overclock both as much as possible while keeping it stable. 

I mean why not--It's free performance.
