They are re-branded 7000 series just for OEMs. They are not consumer cards. The 9000 is a new series of consumer cards.

the desktop 8000 series was all OEM rebadges and is already out.

 

The desktop 9000 series is what is rumored to be next and is again, rumoured to be coming this fall. Around the Battlefield 4 launch date/time from what i've heard.

It's not going to be the 8xxx series. The 8xxx series is the same as the 7xxx from what i've heard. They're in the APUs, don't know much else.
