Console Killer - GTX 980 - Core i7 4790K - SS Grandia GD09

rarifiedbovine
Hey all,

I recently put together a little "console" HTPC for my media center and decided to record the whole thing on video (which was edited by my girlfriend for maximum embarrassment).  Below are the components and the video.  I've never made one before, so I'm eager to hear your comments!  Also happy to answer any questions.  I'm very stoked on this thing, and it's serving as my primary gaming PC while I'm working on my build-of-a-lifetime tri-SLI beast.

Can we really call something that is waaaaay out of console price range a "Console Killer"? Because it definitely is also a "Low/Mid range PC Killer".

Nice build BTW.

I have the same case, you could fit two Xbox One's in there xD but if the point was to destroy consoles, you have succeeded.

1. In front of the PSU is really the only place to properly secure cables

I think so!  I did say Console Killer, after all.

Not quite--he'd probably have 4-way SLI!

I think that the individually sleeved cables and generally layout help to manage the clutter.  And, hey, if it fits in a media center, it works for me!

Sub'd ;)

Hah.  I'll let you know when the next log comes up.
