Microsoft does a 180 again with their Xbox One and the Kinect

In a Q & A on IGN Microsoft has stated that:

the console will still function if Kinect isn't plugged in, although you won’t be able to use any feature or experience that explicitly uses the sensor.

This is an other change since the Kinect was required to be plugged in the Xbox One to make the console work.

It is also stated that in the settings menu you can completely turn the Kinect camera off.

The Xbox One will still come with a Kinect. But this opens the doors for a version of the One without Kinect, that is probably cheaper.

So another change from Microsoft after there mayor always online change.

It seems to me that Microsoft is really doing everything they can to get good publicity. For me, it is to late. You cant just plan things and announce things and then go completely ONE-eighty (get it, Xbox ONE) and change things.
