is this cooler compatible with am3+ and is it good?

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

Yes. If it works on an AM2 board, it'll work on your AM3 board, since they use the same socket. It got confusing when I was looking at reviews for the cooler. My AM3 mounting hardware didn't lineup with the hardware in the review.

No. It is not compatible with AM3+.

Actually, I might be wrong. Because AM2+ use the same mounting holes as AM3 and AM3+.

These are two screenshots I was able to get comparing the AM2 socket and AM3 socket(They use the same mounting holes).

that was where i got confused because in the site it only says k8 not the socket

Well that was my understanding, and the Wikipedia article someone else sent me didn't say anything different so I'm not sure right now, although I could be wrong.

I guess all the K8 architecture sockets mounts are the same?

After looking at all these different sockets, I have no idea if it's compatible or not with AM2.
