They "can."

The ATF still designates that a brace can be shouldered, just real quick and that can't be how you primarily use it.  

 

As for .308.  You're right, it did have basically identical performance.  But while .30-06 lost popularity, both have kept up with the times basically.  There's a tiny gap, but even then, for your average shooter or hunter, there's virtually no difference at all.  Like, unless you're Chris Kyle, just go with .308.

I bet.  I hadn't planned on building this so soon after my last AR but I was out with a buddy who has an SBR and it was a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.

Well, it's one way to take a *bolt action, 5 round rifle* and turn it into a "scary assault weapon"

Haven't watched any of them yet, but I have a pretty good idea of what he said.  One can't help but admire their audacity.  They take money from our pockets in the form of taxes, and then think they can give us that money back while taking our guns away, and call that fair.  Too bad mine were all lost in a boating accident.

It all happened so fast.  Always liked cooking on gas, we have a gas stove.  One thing led to another.  House fire took everything.

Took the M&P Shield 2.0 out today.  Broke it in. Went flawless, used brass and aluminum ammo, a couple different self defense rounds, went through a box of each.  Not a single hiccup.  I’m happy with it!

So my buddy finally listened to me yesterday. I told him to get something that's actually practical for concealed carry. So he came in, looked at Glock 43s, 43Xs, 19s, Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 2.0s, Shield Compacts, Shield .380 EZs, Ruger LC9s, LCPs, even Sig P365s. Even a couple of snub nose, compact, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, and Taurus revolvers, even a Ruger American.

 

I was showing him all these, I was like, "these are all decent for concealed carry, these would be more practical than a full sized 1911."

 

 

He got a fullsized, 6" Heritage 357 Mag revolver, that the cylinder doesn't even flip out, it's like an old fashioned Colt single action to unload it.  So you can remove one shell at a time, instead of like modern revolvers where you can smack all 5 or 6 out at once.

I was so freaking close to getting him leaving with an M&P Shield 2.0 .45, M&P Shield .380 EZ, or Glock 48.

 

All three infinitely better than the type of revolver he got for concealed carry.
