Yet another vote for Crossbreed. I used a horse hide super tuck for years and have had good experiences with it.

With the horse leather, is it hot? I live in South Eastern North Carolina and it's more humid than satan's ball sack and hotter than hell through most of the summer. Anything is going to be hotter than not wearing a holster, with that said, I didnt find my crossbreed to be bad at all. I've since gone to appendix with a full kydex holster instead of a hybrid, and it is cooler than the crossbreed.

 

I'm unsure as to a guarantee, I have no first hand experience with Alien Gear, so I really cant speak to that.

If you're worried about getting hot check out stealth gear.  I have a few of their IWB holsters and their 'ventcore' tech is great.

I figured so, I just did not know if I was going to end up with a large hot spot if it would just be warmer.

Maybe guarantee is not he right word, Maybe I should have said "do they offer a "trial" period".

Welp, traded in my LCR 9mm and Springfield 911, and have a p365 on order at my buddy's shop, figured it'd be filling the roles of both guns so the swap made sense, and I have some store credit left to play with.

 

Time to see why everybody keeps raving about these things as CCW guns.

I second the stealthgear ventcore, I've had both the standard(for my Sig M11-a1) and the mini(for my H&K P2000sk), and both have been excellent. Super comfy, cool, great retention, easy to reholster, and while I've never worn mine with a tucked in shirt, the clips look like they'd take to it just fine out of the box.

Hell yeah bud! I'm stuck on the p365 myself, mostly out of being a NYS resident and trying to optimise 10rnd capacity out of spite, but when it comes to pure single stack concealed carry goodness, the shield is what's up. The closest alternative is a commander 1911 in 9mm, which would cost nearly a grand and probably jam every other round! Keep us in the loop for your holster journey!

Depends on the state, county, and/or city. Generally speaking, no. Call the sheriff's office and ask. They don't mind questions like that, they like citizens not being morons.
