why do people say this? why do you expect all people on this forum to speak native English? they dont, stop judging, can you speak african? doubt you do and nobody comes here and says "m8 your Swahili is bad"

 

It wasn't even that it was bad English; the guy who complained about it got confused over the word "mine".

but op, the 6700k is around 10% better, the 4790k is £59 cheaper on scan than the 6700k, id just get the 4790k, boards can be bought for cheaper and ddr4 is  pointless.

 

10% is not worth £59...

Im British, he just got the wrong meaning for the words i used.

When I said "better" I meant better price to performance as I was rushing out the door for college.

It was me who found the 170 pound board, none of the guys, the guys who advised me with Skylake were posting MSI Krait and mid level ASUS boards of which cost like 110.

500 GBP budget, the guys recommended Skylake i7's and DDR4 memory with decent ASUS/MSI boards.

 

Then this one guy comes in and put's what i quoted in the OP, i was just looking for what justifies a post like that?

 

Coming from an i5 760 at his point.

If you can afford it (and it costs the same as a 4790K i would get it) however if the 4790K is cheaper i would get it.

I have the same board. Did you get the promo? When I bought mine they were offering an aio cooler (nepton 120) worth 70 quid. This is actually what made me go the skylake path as basically it lowered my mobo cost to 100 pounds.

At least when AMD does a rebrand you get more then one tenth of an fps improvement.
