Anyone been to prison?

I know this may sound weird, but i am doing both Modern Britain and American Civil War aftermath in history, and the prisons get bought up a fair few times. So i thought it would be a good idea to have a contrasting image between what prisons were like then and now. So have any of you lot been jailed?

I think the average age on this forum is pretty young, so you might have trouble finding a 16 year old who has done time.

I guess yall probably don't have the same violent offenders we do then. Some of them can't be housed with others, either for their own safety or because they'll kill anyone who looks at them funny.

we have those from time to time, and they usually escape trough a window using bedsheets.
