Do you need a laptop? Because with $1000 you can make a pretty beast desktop!   :D

Hey there,

 

I rarely post but I was in the exact same boat. I ended up going for a MSI laptop as well, it's great, runs games on high and actually has a pretty sweet i7 with NVIDIA GTX 960M.

Price is around $1000. Anyway if you are interested in that, I'll link you to the article that helped me pick it.

I would recommend the GE62 Apache with the 5700HQ and 960M.
