Can I have YOUR Opinion

Faster Ram does make a difference, especially with AMD chips, not sure how well your min fps will go up with the 1866 kit, but then again how many on this forum overclock their RAM and tighten up their timings for gaming? I do but every component in my system is being pushed due to overclocking.

This kit is for 147 AUD, the cheapest 2x8GB kit worth getting on au.pcpartpicker is for 135 AUD and it's a 1600mhz CL10...

I'd take the 2400mhz CL11 kit for these 12 AUD... This is not worth saving this kind of money on it in my opinion...

you can get a 1600Mhz memory to save a bit more cash

H97 for an unlocked i7 and GTX 960...

lolwut.

Just get a Z97 mobo with 4690K and a more reliable PSU. Get cheaper 1600Mhz or 1866Mhz RAM. Whatever's left of the cost savings can go towards a better GPU.

There are some major problems with that build.

1 being, HyperX Fury @1866MHz is cheaper and looks better IMO

2. No need for @1866MHz ram unless it is just as cheap (For gaming)

3. THAT PSU IS NASTY!!!

4. Locked Motherboard and an Unlocked CPU, Get a Z97 motherboard instead.

5. Unless you are streaming and doing tasks that love more thread, an i5 4690k will do you fine.

(Gaming only requires 4 threads in MOST cases)

6. An R9 280 is a more powerful card than the 960 and cost 2/3rds the amount.

get a 4690 Non k and a keep that motherboard then spend the rest on a gpu upgrade !

Replace GTX 960 for GTX 970(1080P), R9 390(1440P) or GTX 980TI.

If you're getting the 4790k, don't get a H97 motherboard, get a Z97 board if you plan on overclocking. The H97 boards aren't big fans of OCing.

Thanks a lot guys for your input and advice

Can you give any thoughts and suggestions about my build.

Faster Ram does make a difference, especially with AMD chips, not sure how well your min fps will go up with the 1866 kit, but then again how many on this forum overclock their RAM and tighten up their timings for gaming? I do but every component in my system is being pushed due to overclocking.
