So tomorrow I am getting an h100i for my 4670k.

Still deciding on what fans I will be using =-/

It will be sp120 fans, but I don't know which ones to choose.

There are quiet and performance ones.

Quiet: 23 dB and 64.3m³

Performance: 35 dB and 106.6m³

Will there be any noticeable difference between cooling performance?

What is the difference of 12 dB? Someting like an aircraft and a butterfly?

I am currently running the stock intel cooler, so I have absolutely no idea what to expect :-/

Depends on how much you like to overclock. More overclocking, but do not care about sound, then get the performance and if you value quiet get the quiet ones. The i5 is a great processor for overclocking!

The performance edition fans are pretty loud. also m3 doesn't mean much it's static pressure you care about in a cpu cooler fans. I would recommend noisebocker E-loops, swifttech helix, or noctua nf-f12.

Looks like you want silence. I recommend AP15s, Noctua F12s, or Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2s instead.

Well at the moment I actually do not really care about overclocking...

At current ambient, the stock cooler is keeping my cpu just under 75°C while under normal load. Since I believe this is not healty at all, I just want a good solution to

1. keep my cpu cool(er)

2. keep my options about overclocking open

Noctua fans don't really fit in my budget :-(

Well if it DOA's, I can just return it.

The store where I buy my computer stuff is really chill about this.

If I let them know something within 3 days of buying, I can just return it and pick up a new one for free :-)

I don't buy on the internet, I go to a physical store.

Well if you don't want to overclock much the H100i is pretty overkill. I would just say get a hyper 212 evo

Well, so do I... I will be driving about 2-3 hours total.

It is basically the only store in Belgium where you can just go and pick up what you need. All the other one's need orders that you can pick up after waiting for a week...

Buying from Amazon isn't really a charm in Belgium, and ebay is way overpriced for new stuff...

I don't want to overlock at the moment. Just keeping all options :-)

I have a hyper evo, and it performs really good (imo) with a fx6100 @4.3Ghz.

But I really want a liquid cooling solution :-)

I can pick between the coolermaster seidon 240, Thermaltake water 2.0 extreme and performer and h100(i)

Oh ok got it I would get the swifttech h220, but it's probably out of budget. The fans are nice on it though quiet and perform well. Out of that group I would take the H100i with the fans I recommend earlier.

That is quite warm for normal load. It's probably your heatsink not seated properly.

I'd say just get a Hyper 212 Evo. It'll probably be much better if you just seat it better.
