Budget : Around £950, UK.

Aim: Will be used for general use and gaming. Games I plan to play range from Fallout, Far Cry 3, GTA, Watch Dogs, and indies but if it can play the AAA titles, Indies are usually fine.

Monitors: Single 1080p monitor, must be included in budget.

Peripherals : Own a mouse, but require a keyboard. Am leaving out of the budget, as will pick up a cheap one for a month tops, before purchasing a mechanical keyboard.

Why? : Currently on a laptop, want a desktop and the added benefits that follow having one.

I'm undecided between 760/7950, which is why It lacks a GPU. Will most likely use the integrated for the time being and look into the 9000 series next month.

Also giving myself a little leeway and going 750W PSU to allow for SLI/CF at a later date.

Lacks an SSD as it will be added at a later date, but my birthday is coming up so may actually just wait and purchase it all at the same time to prevent hassle.

Was mainly looking for any changes you all may have, or ideas for what sort of colour scheme I could use with the Mobo etc.

Thanks for reading

I'd rather get an FX 8150 or 8350 and a 770 / 7970. Also you could probably get an R4.

The budget for the GPU isn't set yet, after the 9000 series announment, will wait and look at my options. If the US 7970 price drops come over here, I'll get one straight away.

As for the R4, I did look into it, but I actually prefer the look of the Arc.

I had the same budget as you and got the 7950 and i am perfectly happy with it

Also got the arc mid r2 and it's a very good case

I know if I got a 7950 I would be completely fine with it, but I'd also be so annoyed if a month later a better card came out at a lower price.

And good to hear about the case :)

Left the GPU out since you are going to wait for the 9000 series.. 8320 is more than enough for gaming etc.

1000 Watt is overkill but we don't know the wattage the new 9000 series are going to pull and the PSU is 80PLUS Platinum and it is like 5-15 Pounds more expensive than a 800+ Gold/Platinum PSU so... better overkill than underkill IMO.  For the monitor i chose i used this review: http://nl.hardware.info/reviews/3112/20/22-23--a-24-inch-monitoren-review-beeldschermenbal-conclusie

Goodluck with the system!

Crossfire ready.

You have enough left for a good mech keyboard.
