There is no reason you would ever go for a 8150 right now, an 8320 costs less and performs better (newer generation) and you can overclock it better I think

Cooler Master 690 II Advanced - I5 2500K @ 4.5Ghz - Geil Enhance Plus 1750Mhz 8Gb - ASUS ENGTX 570 DCUII - MSI Z68aGD65 - Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B - Samsung 830 128gb and Crucial m4 128gb - much other stuff not worth mentioning

The phenom x6 1100t is a beautiful cpu ^_^  for it's time especially and once the console optimisations hit it will most likely outperform the 6350 and maybe on-par with the i5s

Console optimisations and how they will effect you | The difference between AMD cores and Intel cores | Memory Bus size and how it effects your VRAM usage |
How much vram do you actually need? | APUs and the future of processing | Projects: SO - here

Intel i7 5820l @ with Corsair H110 | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 1600Mhz | XFX Radeon R9 290 @ 1.2Ghz | Corsair 600Q | Corsair TX650 | Probably too much corsair but meh should have had a Corsair SSD and RAM | 1.3TB HDD Space | Sennheiser HD598 | Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro | Blue Snowball

sorry to burst your bubble, but the optimization isn't specific to AMD, multicore usage is changing, not "amd is now masterrace"

yep, the 8150 is absolute garbage, get an 8350/8350

The 8150 isn't really that bad :/ for buying now it is absolutely terrible and it's like buying revision 1.0 vs 2.0 but for when it was the newest AMD cpu it really wasn't that bad

the FX series is what is killing AMD, and that was one of the first CPUs they were bragging about

look at the benchmarks at the time, atrocious to what intel was putting out, still is

Burst my bubble? O.o please read my thread on console optimisations then come back to this. The phenom x6 is going to have a performance increase of x6 the i5s and i7s are going to have a performance increase of x4.

Is this pre or post the core parking updates? & I totally agree the Phenom architecture is superior in my opinion but meh

but what is that initial number that's being multiplied? intel is still going to win through raw power

Intel is not that much further ahead than AMD in terms of performance o.o the 8350 out performs the 3770k in pure multi-threaded tasks...

Wait, what?

At what clocks? Can you provide some sources?

but that again is in multi-threaded, because the 8350 has 8 cores vs hyperthreading, what were you expecting?

I'm no fanboy, but it's really sad to see such a good company now pretty much branded as the budget class PC Cpus and nothing more than that

Well this is at stock right?

I don't expect anyone to buy a 3770k or 8350 just to leave them at stock.

I think something like a 8350 @ 4.8ghz and a 3770k @ 4.5 ghz would be a better test.

Even if it is at stock once overclocked they will overclock proportionally...

No point in going with an x6, go with an FX 83x0 or save yourself the money and go with an x4. Here are some benchmarks with my 1055T at 3.8GHz, it performs better with 4 cores than 6 on arma 2.
