true, it is an extreme value for the price, I just can't really buy a system I didn't make at this point :P

If you have a Windows 8 disk you could just re install it to remove the bloatware.

Most laptops come with bloatware. :P Lenovo makes some solid laptops in my opinion.

nope. i know my OS only took about 18GB roughly. thats not including programs.

Might end up going with a G750JX or wait till next year for 20nm mobileGPUs

ya SLI would be nice but i feel like that would DESTROY the battery life. this one is pretty darn portable. definitely wouldve bought it but frankly i dont need one :p

sli is common on gaming laptops in fact i think the highest grade laptop ive seen has two 780's in sli

 

but of course costs an arm and a leg

Mine overheats running just Skype and Chrome... Cleaning it out helped but it's still uncomfortably hot.

mine heats up but for some reason it freaks out if i close the lid. the screen shuts off but it wont sleep as a system. just the screen. with the obnoxious "HP" logo glowing as bright as the sun.

I think you can change it to sleep when the lid is closed in the power options. Closing the lid on my laptop when it's not sleeping causes it to overheat and shut down. :P

We both need an  upgrade haha. I won't be upgrading mine for another two years though, I don't need a new laptop right now. Mine will just serve for a back up for when my desktop fails.
