Agazed

Windows ME - Bad

Windows XP - Good

Windows Vista - Bad

Windows 7 - Good

Windows 8 - Bad

Windows 10 - Good

Anyone else agree? (If you don't agree I will argue with you on why you are wrong)

Yeah what microsoft is doing to peek at what you are doing is bad but at least the software is still genuinely good.

What do you mean? I find Windows 10 pretty good. Spying can be disabled and people shouldn't be worried as it is only used for metrics and collecting data that will help improve Windows. Unless you are doing something illegal I don't think people should be scared.

Can't disable it, theres some that goes on without a way to disable it.

Some of which includes:

- Keylogging you

- Stalking your webcam

- Stealking your microphone

and that's just barely scratching the surface of the privacy invasion and stalking that windows 10 does.

Proof? Regardless I don't understand why you care. They use their collected data to improve future versions and to fix bugs. No one is watching YOU, unless you are doing illegal stuff.

Windows has been collecting tons of metrics in Windows 8 too and did it affect anyone? No. It improved the operating system. ;-;

I personally think Windows 8.1 was great, people made too big a fuss about the metro UI, especially considering you never actually had to use it.

Microsoft can look at my history all they want, it only consists of porn and shit about PCs xD.

But windows 8.1 pro is better than windows 10, if it supported dx12 I would have kept it

It replaced the start menu... The OS was pretty much un-navigable without using Start Is Back.

Don't be so naive. They use it for Data mining and sell the info like Apple and Samsung do. Hell it probably goes to the NSA as well.

So? How does that affect you at all? They use it to see what people actually use and don't use. As a developer myself, without the metrics collected by my software it would be a buggy mess.

If you've paid any attention to tech news since the release of windows 10, you would have seen more than plenty of stuff come up about it.

And I care because I shouldn't have to worry about my operating system keylogging me and such by default, it should at least clearly say what will be sent back to microsoft in the settings and such.

I never really had an issue, even now I find myself rarely using the start menu, everything I need is on my desktop thanks to Rainmeter :P

I guess Im the minority, but I know a lot of people who feel the same way I do, they never really had an issue w/ 8.1

I'm fine with collecting info for bugs, but it stems far past what you open and how often/your hardware and drivers but rather looks at the contents of files for what reason.

The thing is, they collected almost the very same data in Windows 8 and it never caught on to anyone. ALL big software designers use metrics; Apple, Google, Amazon, Ebay, you name it.

Don't know why, but now people all of a sudden people have been stressing about Microsoft, JUST MICROSOFT, spying on them when it has been happening for years.
