So this is the plan for my air cooling. I just realized one major flaw I may have...I may not have enough sockets on my motherboard for the case fans.

Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130694&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Is there some sort of connector I can use to make 2 fans plug into one socket?

Molex to 3 pin fan should do the trick just fine.

You can get fan header splitters to plug two into one socket.. I bought one before.

CPU: i5 4430 PSU: XFX 550w Ram: 8gb Patriot Viper 1600mhz

Motherboard: MSI H87M-G43 Case: Fractal Design Define R4

SSD: 840 Evo 250gb, 512gb MX100 GPU: MSI GTX 980TI Gaming Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo

Yes, you can join up to (recommended max) 2 fans per header with an adapter. You need to verify that the start up and constant amperage of the fan(s) does not exceed the amperage of the fan header. You can also splice together the fans yourself if you want.

There are also PWM signal repeaters which you can use if multiple fans are PWM.

You could get an adapter 3pin or 4pin fan to 4pin molex going straight to your power supply if you don't mind not being able to control the fan and having it run at max speed all the time.

You could get Y connectors to plug in two fans into one header but check with your manufacturer the max current to avoid frying the headers. I would stay below 1A.

I don't think I'll mind as long as the fans I get aren't too noisy.

Thanks for posting this, I would have never thought of checking such a thing.
