Hello all. I'm quite confused about the available copies of windows. I'm Looking for a full version of windows 8 ( not an upgrade) for my computer.

So can someone please tell me if this is what I'm looking for http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009HI3WOC/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1375994757&sr=8-2π=AC_SX110_SY190

If it's a new build, then you would use that copy since it's OEM. And yeah, it's a full copy.

But if you already have a previous Windows installed, you'll need a retail version.

I had windows 8 build 9200 but I want a real copy as it messed up and reset itself. So could I use this version or not. If not could I not just wipe that hard drive?

Can't you order it directly from Microsoft? I'm pretty sure I remember something like that. Also remember if you're a University Student most of us have access to free Windows 7 and 8 through Dreamspark.

You can use the OEM copy only if you reformat your hard drive to remove the previously installed copy.

Basically, yes you can use it.
