I don't like small talking, that's why I enjoy the forum, so I can have a discussion or learn something.

 

everytime the forum adds something like that usually draw more casual people, and finally the conversation/topic quality/quantity decreased because people just talk about it on shoutbox.

What's the point? If you're going to as a question, you should make a thread. If you're going to post meaningless stuff (which is inevitably what it would mostly be used for), you can post a status update, or you can post nothing at all.
