Under $2000 dollar gaming laptop

docterkiwi

So I used to bring my desktop gaming rig across the country and it was a huge pain because something every year would get damaged in shipping and it already cost wayy to much. So the main reason I want a laptop is so i can still play any game and have fun when traveling.

Currently i have a mid 2012 macbook which i actually do enjoy and have the apple operating systems, but this is not going to cut it.

Now the main things im looking for in a new laptop are-

1. cant be too bulky(as in very large sides, Weight isn't a huge issue) I do like my macbook because it has a slim look and i can still take it places without it being a huge burden when fitting it places

2. Around 15 inch and below is preferable.

3. I also am a CSGO player so i may look at G-sync laptops but not a main issue.

4. games like Witcher 3 as example should be able to run at least 60 frames on med-high

Final Notes- Although i do think is is pricy i do love the design of the New Razer Blade but I would like to hear more advice from my favorite Community.

Steam:Drift and Drift_2 <p>(name is hunter) Lets play:)

I wouldn't spend that much on a laptop.

My Lenovo Y50 does pretty well.

If you wanted to spend more I'd suggest this :

Slim and gaming laptop?

Forget it you will have terrible cooling and burning hot keyboard.

Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots experiencing nothing more than the placebo effect.

This Gigabyte doesn't look half bad

Don't know about thermals though, more surface area is always better for heat. Could just get one of those laptop cooler stands to help.

Clevo P650SG, I´m a proud owner of one I got mine for 1600 euro. 1TB SSD, 4720HQ, 980M, 16GB RAM. I think the cheapest reseller in the US is http://rjtech.com/shop/index.php

EDIT: I did buy everything separate, lot of part sellers have better deals on RAM and SSD.

My Rig:

Model: P650RG | Brand: Clevo | CPU: 6700HQ | GPU: 980M | RAM: 16GB KINGSTON HYPER-X DDR4 | SSD: 2x 480GB Kingston KC300 | Screen: 3K Panasonic IPS LED

Clevo P650SG gets my vote as well. I own one and I love it. Carrying it on a daily basis to school, the most powerful machine in my classroom. If you want something already assembled when you get it and not like getting your own parts and stuff, you can check out the Sager NP8652-S on XoticPC's and Sager's sites (it is actually cheaper from them).

Witcher 3 @ 60fps on a laptop isnt gonna work -.-.

I think you are underestimating laptop GPUs.

TW 3 is really really well optimised, a friend has a laptop with a quad core intel + GTX 970M and he struggles to get over 45fps in some parts of TW3/Crysis with pretty much everything on ultra apart from hairworks. I do love my eyecandy :). Its a good experience but it isnt 60+ fps.

I doubt you will find a 980m adequately cooled in an ultrabook formfactor.
