Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

oh and also the best place to look for deals on windows laptops is the Microsoft store great deals on cheap dells (i personally bought a i3 5th gen with 4gb of ram and a 1tb hdd for only $350 CAD) and some nice deals on ultrabooks and even gaming laptops like the razer blade

Wow you pay a ton for thickness (slimness?). I bought a laptop with the same specs (except 1366x768 screen) for $420. i5-5200u, 8GB, and an SSD (but only 128GB).

Is yours IPS?

1080p IPS, 128gb extra ssd, slimness, and lightweightedness is worth the price premium to me.

I could swap mine out for a 1080p IPS display for $80 since it uses standardized parts, and if I had spent another $30 I could have gotten the 250GB BX100, bringing the cost to $530 if I had, but I dont value those components in a laptop.

Oh man. The only thing stopping me from considering this before was the Core M.
With an i5 it jumps up a lot higher on the want scale. Perhaps even eclipsing the XPS 13.

I think it's too low. 1600x900 is all right at 13.3", but not something that low.

Plus having something thin is amazing. Slip it into the back of a backpack and you're good to go.

4gb of ram is fine for my seconday rig.

 

i use it to play binging of issac and minecraft while listening to spotify or watching movies i have stored on the device, i dont need more than the 4gb right now, but in the future i might get it a ssd and a 8gb dimm (only one sodimm slot) biggest let down is either the fact its very wide and doesnt fit in my laptop bag or the 1366x768 screen
