New Formula Not supporting 3-way SLI?

Hello I wonder if anyone know why Asus didn't make the board support 3-way SLI cause it does support 3-Way CrossFire?

Because 3-way SLI is ridiculous for 99.98% of people, am I wrong?

You could phrase it that way, with NVIDIA cards getting more powerful by the year .. there's no demand for 3-way SLI.

I'm guessing so you can have a 7990 and a 7970 in crossfire for 3 way(real thing)

Asus couldn't make the board 3 way sli because the third slot runs at PCie x4 speeds. And nvidia officially foes not support x4 speeds I sli, they require a minimum of 8x speed. Also asus didn't add a plx chip to increase bandwidth because then the board would have gotten more expensive.

3 way sli is crazy, I would not put that much money into it since the optimization for it is not the greatest.
