Do you use an underdesk keyboard tray?

JewishBacon

If you do please post a link! I'm thinking about getting one for my desk (to save space obviously). I already got a monitor stand for my monitors, so I figured I'd get the mouse/keyboard off while im at it!

Big thing to think about is comfort level of your arms, and your chair height.

While it worked fine when I was a kid, I've never seen a keyboard tray that would

A) Allow my chair underneath it comfortably

B) Be at a comfortable height for extended use. The resting-typing angle of my arms fits perfectly on the top of most desks, reaching down for a keyboard tray puts a lot of strain on back/shoulders if you don't have a tall desk.

yeah but is was just a part of the desk.  I'm not a big fan of it but I guess I would be lost without it as I'm horrible about space management and staying tidy

edit: like reece said: it'd be nice to have the numberless keyboard for the extra mouse space.  that is half my problem

No. I bought a desk that didn't contain one. I hate the height they're always at and they have a bad habit of moving around.

Yes and I don't like it. Not enough room to type and use mouse properly under it and a little too far back if I slide it out.

No I rip that thing off or just don't install it. It's in my way all the time.

I used one when I was a little kid, but now I couldn't use one if you made me. They're too small for my (admittedly big) keyboard and mouse and it's too uncomfortable.

My desk is literally a plank of wood with two fancy metal legs, so no

But when I was a kid, I would use my dad's PC and that had the underdesk tray. It was terrible! I couldn't fit both the keyboard and mouse in there, so I had constantly readjust my hands. I couldn't see where the keys were, I've hit the top of my hands at least once, pulling the thing out was slow, and reduced overall leg space. It was just terrible.

If I get another desk with one of those things, I'm going to choose another desk, ignore it, or tear it out

No, I prefer my keyboard to be on my desk where I can see it, and don't have anything above my hands blocking my view or restricting movement.

I make all my desks, I never put a keyboard tray. I like it sitting on top of my desk so it can be seen and all (Ducky Shine 3, so...)

I use one with my Novation Keyboard which goes into my laptop. Makes a small desk a lot more easier to work with, as my set up would not be possible without it.

I started gaming with an under tray. Me uing it this way I was use to it, I thought nothing about it. My cousin and mate would come over and critisize it that it's "weird because it's on different levels" etc etc
