Added a second 660ti in SLI, the computer recognizes both GPUs, only uses one.

So I know my GPU, PSU, and motherboard all support SLI, and while I can see the both are plugged and and have power going to them, only one of them does the work. I have the EVGA FTW motherboard with two 660tis (OC power edition) and a PSU that can handle it all. I have the SLI cable plugged in, but  for some reason they just won't work together. Any ideas at what I am doing wrong?

Yes, I have the latest drivers, bios, and everything.

You need to go into the nvidia control panel to actually turn it on.

Watch the GPU-Z sensor when the cards are under load, both of them should be active.  It'll show just one card being active when the load is low because that is all the system needs.

In the driver control panel, go to Manage SLI, Surround, PhysX and enable SLI by selecting Maximize Performance.

I don't have that option anywhere. Under NVIDIA Control Panel>Configure Surround, PhysX it has PhysX placed on the second GPU, and when running some benchmarks that used PhysX the second one started up, but only for PhysX. Is that normal?

I am under that menu, but I don't see Maximize Performance anywhere. Just stuff for surround and PhysX.

The SLI bridge may be borked.

Do your cards have differing BIOS versions or (particularly) amounts of VRAM?

If so, you may need to enable coolbits.

On my SLI 680M laptop in Nvidia Control Panel on the left under "3D Settings" it has "Set SLI and PhysX Configuration", click that, check the box for "Maximise 3D performance" and you should be good to go.

If your cards differ let me know. ;)

Right. If they have differing amounts of VRAM, that will make them incompatible without the Coolbits mod. However, differing BIOS versions likely won't do anything, but it won't hurt to try anyways.(unless they have differing amounts of VRAM)

They are the exact same card, same amounts of VRAM and everything. For the NVidia control panel, under 3D settings, it says "Configure Surround, PhysX" but does not mention SLI. Like I said, it works for PhysX stuff, but nothing else.

Try turning the sli bridge around, or switching the pcie slot the card is in, I had a similar problem with my rig.
