Attempting to install win 7 os on ssd, failing very badly

So I got an ssd and I didn't really look up on how to install windows 7 on an ssd. I figured it won't be much different than installing on an hdd. Which I fully regret.

So this is what I did and what's happening.

I placed in the win 7 disc and booted up my pc with both my old hdd and the new ssd connected. Went in the dvd from boot menu. During the installation of win 7 on the ssd. The first part was fine, it went through copying, updating, etc etc. But after the first restart, windows 7 gets stuck at the Starting Windows splash screen. The 4 glowing dots that make up the windows logo haven't appeared. It remained like that for several minutes. I figured it was stuck so I restarted my comp. So I was greeted on the which windows I want to enter screen, theres 2 windows 7, the one on the old hdd and one on the ssd. I try to enter the new one but I get a black screen and gets stuck there. I figured windows 7 didn't install properly so I shutdown my computer. Then I disconnected my hdd and booted up my pc again. Went into dvd and try to reinstall windows 7. I formated the ssd then installed windows 7. Same thing happens later on, it gets stuck after restarting. This time with nothing but black screen. So I shutdown my pc and was wondering if something other than my ssd was the problem. I disconnected my ssd and connected my hdd and booted it back up. Surprisingly on the which window to go in there's 2 windows 7 which is quite confusing as I only got the hdd connected. If I try to enter the newer win 7 it says it can't go in saying theres missing files or corrupted files. If I go in my old windows 7 installation it's fine. Win 7 on my hdd is fine and can be loaded. So I tried again to install win 7 on my ssd, I shutdown my pc, disconnected my hdd, connected my ssd, and went into the dvd and now the win 7 installation can't detect the ssd. And just to see what happens I booted up my pc with only the ssd connected and after the splash screen it says:

"Loading Operating System...

A disk read error occured

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

I'm worried if I fucked up my ssd. Anyone got any idea what to do?  :(

UPDATE:

I loaded into the hdd win 7 with ssd connected and I do see my ssd in my computer and it is usable. So I guess the question now is that why is there 2 windows 7 when my ssd isn't connected and how do I install win 7 on the ssd without problems.

Removed the second broken windows 7 in boot menu with msconfig

The ssd is Sandisk Extreme II 240GB

Plug the SSD into the SATA cable the HDD is using. Check to see if your installation disk is damaged/scratched.

I had occurrences where SATA ports/cables would be bad.

System Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT

RAM: 32GB 3600MHz

HDD: 1TB Sabrent NVMe -  WD 1TB Black - WD 2TB Green -  WD 4TB Blue

MB: Gigabyte  B550 Gaming X- RGB Disabled

PSU: Corsair RM850x 80 Plus Gold

Case: BeQuiet! Silent Base 801 Black

Cooler: Noctua NH-DH15

Alright, I'll try switching sata ports.

Your SSD is fine (most likely) The disk error is most commonly from a corrupt MBR which would make sense from the failed windows install.

My recommendation is to try a different windows disc. It might be scratched or damaged, you can try to copy it using IMGBURN or some other burning software ensuring you verify both the iso creation and burning.

*Also, have ONLY the SSD plugged into the computer, remove all other drives and devices.

Yeap, I can see it in the hdd win 7.

Format it in Windows itself. Shutdown your computer. Disconnect your HDD and plug in SSD to the same port the HDD was plugged in to.

Also, I think it'd be better if you installed Windows off a flash drive.

Alright, I'll be off making a usb boot installer. And I tried installing win 7 with the same disc with the sata port connected to the hdd. Still same problem, after restart:

"Loading Operating System...

A disk read error occured

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

Win 7 installing quesiton, am I suppose to direct it to load into the dvd after the restart?
