Chinese war video game depicting Japanese islands being invaded

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-23535593

The game was previously a war simulation for Chinese troops but was changed into a video game for the public

It depicts an invasion on a Japanese island with a Chinese aircraft carrier off the islands coast

Considering recent events this is pretty crazy, even if recent events hadn't happened it would be insane since the Chinese military designed the game

The game is called "Glorious mission"

I don't know if this should go under news or pc games :/

oh dear was that YOUR computer i just downloaded a few dozen viruses on when you weren't paying attention?

Meh what's the difference between this and games that about historic events in the past of the U.S. invading other countries? or spins of historic events? It's just a game, fictional, I wouldn't mind playing it ;)

the difference is that those companies were trying to make money this game is for free and designed by the government and goes on a very recent topic considering the island that Japan and China are in a dispute over

I was thinking about war this morning. Wouldnt it be great if decisions were made based on morals. Its just about never moraly right to kill someone. Its ALWAYS politcally correct to kill a group of people though. Because they are bad. and evil...and things. STUFF AND THINGS!!!! OK!!!

"He hit me!, Better hunt him down and kill him" <Thats America.

its never actually politically correct to kill a bunch of people unless the government in the country you live wants to and even then its not politically correct in other countries and other parts of the government (unless its communist like China then nobody else in the same government disagree)

You obviously know nothing about the tension between China and Japan. There's a lot of hate between Chinese and Japanese people. Not only because of the Island in conflict but also because of Unit 731.

And you also have to realize that this is an obvious middle finger to Japan, it's political, if the Chinese state wouldn't approve of the game it would have never been allowed to be made because of the sensitive subject.

Same like any other Call of Duty or Battlefield. Not sure why you're so surprised when Americans make similar games. If this is considered some sort of propaganda then you can slap that on popular AAA titles as well.
